The board and elders have been working tirelessly to lead us through a time of great transition, to really begin the push that will allow us to have conversations we desperately need to have. This will be an ongoing conversation that isn’t going to end any time soon.
We’re at a crossroads within our congregation, where we have to start taking some definitive and precise steps toward where our future is. But first, we have to figure out where God is calling us to go in the future.
The board has created two teams, filled with non-board members, who will be looking at the life of this church in different ways. We have a vision team and a structure team. Our vision team will be seeking God’s call, listening to where we are being called and what steps we can do next to move toward that call and how to communicate it effectively with everyone else in the congregation and throughout the city of Cheyenne.
Our structure team will be looking a many different pieces that help keep us moving and running as a congregation. They will look at the bylaws, finances, and how we function as a congregation with a committee structure what was built for a church that no longer has enough people to sustain it.
These two teams will work together, alongside the board, to continue centering our life as First Christian Church Cheyenne. We are working hard, being a vibrant community in Christ.
